There’s An Even Faster BMW i8 Coming Out
Since BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016, they will celebrate by introducing a high performance version of the i8. It will be a much sportier version of the current model, and is said to be called the i8S.
This model will not have rear seats and will feature a larger luggage bay.
Many details about the car are not confirmed yet, but it can be assumed that it will have bigger brakes, wider tires, and aerodynamic changes to make it perform better.
Automobile has mentioned two different possibilities: a twin-turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder that will produce around 320 horsepower, or a 3.0-liter six-cylinder with a much larger 480 horsepower.
The possible i8S model will probably not reach the US until 2017 and will most likely cost around $175,000.
