Re-Opening of Two Naperville Parks
The Naperville community is invited to two special ceremonies by the Park District. The group has officially announced the re-opening of the Huntington Commons and the Olesen Farm Park. The parks that have been closed for a while have received a decent face lift with the installation of state of the art equipment to the benefit of children. The parks are located in the east central region of Naperville and have been the play area for many residents who grew up there.
The Huntington Commons will officially reopen on September 17 and this will be signaled by the special ceremony on its grounds. Similarly on the first day of October, Olesen Farm Park will officially open. The ribbon cutting ceremonies should start no later than 5pm and the Park District officials will offer other interesting activities to add to the festivities.
Officials from the Park District encourage residents of all ages, sizes, races and cultures to attend one or both of these historical events. The two renovated parks have received new swings and other equipment so that children can enjoy themselves while at the park. The new recreational sets are also easily accessible for children with disabilities.
Families and groups of friends are encouraged to make regular visits to the parks to enjoy the clean and refreshing ambiance. They are the most ideal locations for picnics, outdoor group games and simply for some real people-watching action. The Park District may reschedule these events in the case of heavy rains, therefore residents should check the Naperville Parks website for updates.
