New 4-Series Convertible to Rock L.A.
There are only a few other cars that can match the hype rock star lifestyle or will make a bold statement on the roads of Los Angeles. Among these cars is the all new 4-series BMW Convertible. This new vehicle will be featured at next month’s Auto Show in Los Angeles. Incidentally, the car is named, “4-series” to make it evident that it has two doors but its predecessor had 4 doors so it was known as “3 series.” It should be interesting to find out the name of a BMW convertible with a single door.
The new convertible will retain some of the design cues from its predecessors. Among these cues, the new 4-series convertible will use a three-piece folding hardtop but the automakers ensured that they enhanced sound deafening in this area so that it is doesn’t disturb the driver or passengers in the vehicle. There is also the luxury of space in this vehicle. BMW prides itself as a company that look about the needs of customers and these include long distance travelling therefore the extra trunk space can accommodate a few heavy travelling bags.
In terms of engineering, customers can choose between two engine options. However, the preferred engine is the turbo-charged four cylinder engine. It produces 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet or torque. The 4-series BMW convertible has a top speed of 155 miles per hour so it can travel zero to 60 miles per hour in 6.2 seconds. This new convertible is being offered at the reasonable price of $49, 675.
