Celebrating 40 Years Of BMW
This year BMW is celebrating 40 years of a nation of BMW drivers. BMW officially began in 1975 with the establishment of BMW of North America. If you want to be exact you could say BMW started long before that when Max Hoffman added BMW to his portfolio of import label car brands. That was in 1954 but his investment didn’t really pay off until 1962. In 1975 BMW bought back U.S distribution rights which made car enthusiasts question whether this is was a good move or not. It wasn’t until the arrival of an inline-six engine that was followed by the 1982 E30 which turned into a huge success. After 40 years people have come to embrace the same values that BMW has always stood behind.
