BMW’s eDrive Gasoline-Electric SUV
The popular luxury brand will have something to brag about at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show as it rolls out the new X5 plug-in SUV concept with a hybrid engine system. Over the past year and a half, BMW has dedicated majority of its work to the production electric cars. After all, car manufacturers are going electric! Leading the pack with the coolest X5 concept, this new model will fashion an impressive eDrive Gasoline-Electric hybrid system.
BMW has done its research and based on its findings, a hybrid engine system is the most viable options to reap great success in the battery-powered transport world. The reality is that electric vehicles are limited to small distance journeys. The additional gasoline section of the engine unit is therefore the appropriate replacement to continue the journey.
As a one of the leading electric car manufacturers, BMW is very confident that the market will fall in love with this new X5 model. Who would have thought that a huge SUV like the X5 could be powered by electrical current? Well, the future is here and the introduction of this new SUV concept will probably inspire other SUV manufacturers to try their hands at this marvelous idea. The X5 eDrive is still in concept stage but from the looks of things, BMW might be releasing this production very soon. The company will provide more details on this fabulous creation at the highly anticipated Frankfurt Motor Show. Here is another reason to attend this automotive show.
