BMW Steals the Show at Consumer Electronics Expo
Self-reliance has always been the thrust of this leading luxury brand, but who would have thought BMW would push the limits even more? These cars are genuinely powering up and dominating the race course as if a driver was handling the steering wheel. It was an amazing display of ingenuity and automotive brilliance at the electronics expo.
Now the secret behind this incredible hands-free vehicle technology is a nice suite comprising 360-degree LIDAR, ultrasonic sensors, environment-tracking cameras and electronic brakes and steering device. Many patrons watched in amazement as the cars drifted down the course like any professional driver.
Usually the first thought that comes to mind when we hear “self-driving cars” are low-speed, dull-painted vehicles that looks like the wagon of a cartoon character. But that is not the case with these vehicles; they maintain the same stylistic designs and luxury appeal like any other first-class BMW model.
BMW is known to go beyond the ordinary vehicle manufacturing and that is why this German-based automotive brand continues to be the most competitive in the industry. Other vehicle brands have been toying with the idea of self-reliant vehicles but none have come close to this measure of success. Autonomous cars are the way to go since they double the commuting speed of regular drivers even in the event of terrible road and weather conditions.
