BMW harnesses the power of wind
When BMW drivers think about wind, typically they think about it whipping through their hair on a sunny afternoon after putting the top down. Moving forward, however, BMW would like consumers to think about wind in a different way.
According to an article published by Bloomberg, BMW will utilize four wind turbine towers to supply almost a quarter of the power used at the automaker’s Leipzig plant in Germany. It’s the location where the X1 sport-utility vehicle is built and where the i3, its first electric car, will soon be manufactured.
