Andy Warhol Art Piece to be featured at ARTcetera 2013
Pop art icon, Andy Warhol will showcase his most popular art car design, 1979 M1 at the 2013 staging of the ARTcetera at the Park Plaza Castle in Boston. Warhol is widely recognized for his fabulous paint work. The abstract painter explains that the paint job on the car is intended to give the impression that this car is the fastest worldwide. BMW art cars are quite popular among racers who relied on experts like Warhol to make their racing wagon look good on the course.
The main purpose of the ARTcetera event is to raise funds for HIV/AIDS research and prevention initiatives. The event is scheduled for October 5. For this year, the BMW dealers in Massachusetts will be sponsoring the event that should include 300 pieces of modern art. The M1 piece which is actually being housed at the Saratoga Museum will not be on sale at the event but the experts agreed that if this prized piece was being auction it would be really expensive.
Through BMW’s perspective, Warhol’s M1 is really a showpiece because it does not have an impressive racing record to brag but it has an appearance that will blow the mind of all BMW lovers and natural lovers of artistic expressions. In addition to the M1, BMW has 16 other art cars in its collection. The most recent piece to the collection is the streaked M3 GT2 by Jeff Kooms. Tickets are now available for the ARTcetera show, starting at the reasonable cost of $350.
